Where the Colorado governor candidates stand on ballot measures
The 14 statewide questions will also help determine the next governor's budget and authority. The candidates for Colorado's governor are divided on several key ballot measures, particularly on social issues and constitutional protections. Democrat Phil Weiser and Republican Victor Marx are split on several major measures, including tax questions. Weiser supports Proposition NN, which would lift a state revenue cap under the Taxpayer's Bill of Rights to increase school funding and divert sporting goods sales tax revenue to conservation, parks and wildfire prevention. Marx opposes these measures, arguing they would erase TABOR refunds for the foreseeable future. While Weiser has not commented on one of the ballot's biggest tax questions, Marx opposes a $2.7 billion tax increase. Both candidates also support Amendment 85 and 86 to require plain-language ballot questions and prohibit congressional redistricting mid-decade. Whoever wins will inherit the budget and policy mandates.

Colorado's ballot questions are dividing the candidates for governor — and in some instances, putting Democratic Gov. Jared Polis on the same side as the Republican who wants his job.
